Bay View is pleased to announce the hiring of Finance Director, Matt Gawenda, to the administrative staff. Gawenda joined the Bay View team on August 1. Gawenda is a seasoned professional with a finance and administration career spanning over two decades. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and a Master of Science degree in Finance from DePaul University in Chicago.

“As we enter our 150^th year, we are in a strong financial position. Matt’s experience demonstrates that he has the skills needed to secure Bay View for future generations,” says Megan DeWindt, Executive Director of the Bay View Association. “His education and experience as the former President of Generations College provide a strong background to position him to make a significant contribution to Bay View’s mission.”

Gawenda will relocate to the Charlevoix area from Chicago, where he met his wife and raised their two children.
